The Locanda Grifo is located in Lenno, on Lake Como, suitable to organize for nice walks along the lake or excursions on the surrounding mountains.

A few steps from the Locanda is Villa Balbiano, a seventeenth-century villa located in the ancient village of Ossuccio, surrounded by a beautiful park and overlooking the lake. Today the Villa is one of the most prestigious locations for luxury weddings on Lake Como.
Locanda Grifo is also only 15 minutes walk from the famous Villa Balbiannello.

On request is available a shuttle service back/forth the public boat dock in Lenno where there is the opportunity to catch the boat to visit the central part of the Lake and admire famous little villages like Bellagio, Tremezzo, Menaggio and Varenna.

Next door the Locanda is the Casa Brenna Tosatto, art and cultural centre recently renovated, hat bring prestige to the historical settlement of Campo and central Lake area.

Restaurant Rooms

For the summer seasons the Locanda has a cozy garden where you can enjoy the local specialties in the shade of linden trees.

Within there is a distinctive setting: a large hall decorated with typical tools of old peasant kitchens where during the winter we organize lunches and themed evenings.

The capacity of the garden is about 40 seats, while the capacity of the dining room, where you can organize events and banquets is 50 seats.

The restaurant also has a typical stone cellar with an extensive wine list.


Since 100 years, at the Locanda Grifo you can find local specialities cooked according to the original and typical recipes of Lake Como.

Antonio and Tiziana, together with their mother Vittorina, carry on the culinary tradition with passion and professionalism.

Home-made specialities

Home-made specialities are: “arborelle in carpione” (marinated little lake fishes with vinegar, onion, carrots and aromatic herbs), “missoltino con polenta” (exsiccate lake fish with polenta), rice with perch and the delicious “paradell”, a simple dessert of a time ago made with flour, milk and cut apples.

During the winter we serve also stewed or roasted meats and hunting game.
